Henry "Alfred" Elixson, a native of Union County, born on December 4, 1950, passed away on August 21, 2017 at the age of 66.
Alfred was a lifelong member of Sardis Baptist Church. He married his high school sweetheart, Patsy, on May 15, 1970. Alfred and Patsy enjoyed 47 years of marriage. After graduating from Union County High School, he spent two years in Key West working at Western Electric. Alfred then served six years in the United States Navy Reserves. Shortly thereafter, he established Alfred Elixson Timber, Incorporated. Alfred worked as owner and operator for the next 44 years. From 1982 until 1986, he served on the Union County School Board. During retirement, Alfred enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family, most of all, his beloved grandson, Wyatt.
He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Pascal Elixson.
Alfred Elixson is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Jones Elixson, his mother, Nita Elixson, brother Dean(Betty) Elixson, and sons, Mason (Leslie) and Matthew(Crystal) Elixson. He is also survived by his most faithful fishing buddy, his grandson, Wyatt. Alfred will be missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
