Hazel Griffis

Ms. Hazel Mosley Griffis, age 90, of Lawtey, Florida, passed away on November 8, 2018, at Haven Hospice in Gainesville, Florida. She was born on July 28, 1928, to the late Brooksie Mosley and the late Rose Carter Mosely. She was a lifelong member of Highland Baptist Church. She loved her church and was very active in it. She was always wanting to get in the car and ride. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Geri Sapp.
Ms. Griffis was survived by her grandson, Denny Thompson and Pamela Jones; grandson, Wyatt Thompson; son-in-law, John Sapp. Numerous extended family also survive.
A funeral to honor the life of Ms. Griffis will be held on Monday, November 12, at 11:00am at the Highland Baptist Church in Lawtey, FL. A visitation will be held at 10:00am (one hour before services) at the church. Services are officiated by Reverend Lester Austin.
