Harmon Ridgeway

Harmon "Pop" Ridgeway 82, of Lake Butler passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at North Florida Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida with family by his side. He was born on June 12, 1932 in Manning, South Carolina to the late Herman Ridgeway Sr. and Rebecca Major. Mr. Ridgeway was well known around the county as "Pops". He was the owner of a small business that was located in Lake Butler. He is preceded in death by his daughter Ruth Thompson.
He is survived by his daughters: Geneva Watkins, Chasity Givens, Alexis Ridgeway, Alexandria Ridgeway, and Porsha Ridgeway all of Lake Butler; Son: Herman Ridgeway Jr. (Lori) of Gainesville and God Son Dimitri Lane; Step Kids: Terrence Cummings and Marcus Stoutamire; Sister: Richmond Jonas of Clearmont, Florida; 24 grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mr. Herman "Pop" Ridgeway will be held Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 2:00pm at Victory Christian Center in Lake Butler with Pastor Patrick Maxwell officiating. Family invites friends for a visitation Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 6 to 8pm at Archer Funeral Home, Lake Butler. Burial will take place following funeral services at Fort Call Cemetery.
