Glennis Sirmon Jones

Mrs. Glennis Sirmon Jones passed away peacefully May 3, 2023, at Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City at the tender age of 93. Mrs. Jones was born April 3, 1930, to the late Glenn and Mary Alice Parker Sirmon in McKenzie, Alabama. Her childhood was spent in Bonifay, FL. In 1951, she married William “W.K.” Jones and they spent 52 wonderful years together until his passing. They traveled with the military but settled back in Raiford for the past 20 years.  As the greatest example of a grandmother, she never met a child she didn’t love. She was everyone’s Meemaw. Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William “W.K.” Jones.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her children, Mary Roche of Chipley, FL, Randy (Judy) Jones of Lawrenceville, GA, Steven (Teresa) Jones of Calhoun, GA, Mark (Donna) Jones of Freeport, FL, and Donald (Nita) Jones of Raiford, FL; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and her sisters, Annette Williams of Navarre, FL and Joyce Leavins of Bonifay, FL.

A graveside service for Mrs. Jones will be held at Sapp Cemetery, Saturday, May 6^th at 11:00am. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 10:00am.
