Glenda Lee Bass

Glenda Wallace Bass, age 82, passed away on July 7, 2024, at Bedrock Rehab and Nursing in Eustis, FL. She was born on January 30, 1942, in Raiford, FL to the late Elmer and Geneva Sweat Wallace. After graduating from Union County High School in 1960, she embarked on a remarkable career path. Glenda spent 20 years working for Prudential in Jacksonville before transitioning to serve as an administrative assistant at Lawtey Correctional Institute for another 20 years.

Glenda was known for her many talents and passions that brought joy to those around her. She was an excellent tatting lace artist and a skillful piano player who could effortlessly play by ear. Glenda had a keen eye for fashion, particularly when it came to shopping for shoes and purses. She found solace in reading, cherished the adventures she experienced on trips with her church group, and enjoyed friendly card games with loved ones. She was also a member of Eastern Star and Madison Street Baptist Church.

Glenda is survived by her son, David (Laura) Bass and her adoring grandchildren, Megan (David) Robinson, Audrey Bass, Kady Bass, and Connor Bass. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 51 years, Dave Bass.

Services to honor and remember Glenda will be held at Archer-Milton Funeral Home on July 12, 2024. A visitation will begin at 10:00am followed by a funeral service from 11:00am.
