Fred Stanley

Mr. Fred Van Stanley, 70 of Lake Butler passed away peacefully at the Orange Park Medical Center Thursday after an extended illness. Mr. Stanley was born in Crestview and lived most of his life in Bonifay before moving to Lake Butler 14 years ago. He was a lieutenant for the Florida Department of Corrections before retiring in 2005. He was the son of the late Ruby and Zirlene Cox Stanley. He is preceded in death just twenty days by his loving wife Christine Stanley.

2 Daughters: Lisa Stanley of Denver, Colorado and Melissa (husband John)
Johns of Lake Butler
Son: Marvin Stanley of Lake Butler.
3 Brothers: Joe Stanley and Tim Stanley, both of Baker; Ted Stanley of Freeport.
4 Grandchildren: Christine Everson; Trey Tucker; A.J. Williams; Cory Tucker.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 05, 2014 at 2:30 P.M. in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler with Pastor Jason Johns officiating. Burial will follow at Dekle Cemetery of Lake Butler. Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler is in charge of arrangements 386-496-2008. The family will receive friends at Archer Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M., just prior to services.
