Francis Riherd White

Mrs. Frances Riherd White, 84 of Lake Butler passed away peacefully Sunday morning March 17, 2013 at the Harbor Chase care facility in Gainesville surrounded by her family after an extended illness. Mrs. White was born in Lake Butler on December 5, 1928 to the late Thomas M. Riherd and Inez Markey Riherd, where she was a life long resident. She was a physical education teacher in Union County for many years. She earned her bachelors degree from Florida State University and her Masters from Ohio State University, and was a member of the Delta Kappa Gama society. Mrs. White was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lake Butler. She was predeceased by three brothers: Bobby Riherd, John Riherd and Paul Riherd and one sister Lucille Geiger. Mrs. White is survived by her husband William Walter "Bill" White of Lake Butler; sons Gerald "Gerry" White (Darlene) of Cedar Key and Steven White (Cindy) of Denver; two grandchildren Kelly and Katie White. Funeral services for Mrs. White will be conducted on Wednesday March 20, 2013 at 2PM in the chapel of Archer Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Cranford officiating. Internment will follow at Dekle Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2PM (hour before the service).
