Frances Vinzant Culbreth

Frances Vinzant Culbreth, age 85, passed peacefully into our Lord's glorious kingdom on June 30, 2023. A Florida native from Alachua, Fran was a woman of excellence and great faith. Her faith was a cornerstone in her life. She truly exemplified a faith-based life. Fran was very active in her community, her children's educational and extracurricular activities, as well as, her church community. She passed on her great faith to her children and grandchildren.

Fran had a well sought out childcare business for many years. Later, she retired from a 21-year career at North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville.

In her retirement years, Fran enjoyed country and bluegrass singing in musical "jam" gatherings. She also enjoyed flowers and gardening. Fran cherished family time, friends and travel. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Fran was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Robin, her parents, Eugene and Mildred, and sister, Eugenia. She is survived by daughters Renee ad Rhonda, granddaughter Beth, grandson Bryan and sisters Ann, Janice and Debbie. Fran also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and a brother in law.

A family and friends gathering will be held Friday, July 21, 2023, 6pm at St. John's Church fellowship hall in Alachua. A Celebration of Fran's Life will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, 11am at Sardis Baptist Church in Lake Butler.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that you order a memory tree or send memorial gifts to a favorite cause, organization, church or charity or to a child's or grandchild's educational fund.
