Mr. Michael Stephen Vinci passed away July 2, 2022, and patiently waited until July 6, 2022, for his wife of 37 years, Faye Marie Bryant Vinci, to join him. The two married on June 22, 1985, and enjoyed a good life together in Lake Butler. Michael was born September 9, 1947, in Belleville, IL to the late A.J. and Evelyn Lee Vinci. In July of 1968, he proudly joined the United States Army and served until his retirement from the Army National Guard in 1997. Michael worked for the Florida Highway Patrol and later retired as a correctional officer with the Department of Corrections. Michael enjoyed riding motorcycles, scuba diving, going crabbing, and watching westerns. Together, he and Faye enjoyed taking cruises. They both were also animal lovers. Faye was born March 23, 1956, in Jacksonville, FL to the late Everett and Lilian Andrews Bryant. Faye also had a long career with the Department of Corrections until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, sponsoring animals, and riding horses. She also was a thrill seeker; riding in race cars and she wouldn’t pass up a rollercoaster. Michael and Faye loved their family more than anything and will be deeply missed.
They are survived by their children, Michael Blaine Vinci, Elizabeth (Tony) Hodges, and Michael Anthony Vinci all of Lake Butler; their grandchildren, Michael G. Vinci, Victoria K. Vinci, Nathan Brand, Morgan Hodges, Michael Everett Vinci, and Eva Vinci; a great-grandson, Briggs Anthony Brand; Michael’s brother, Joe (Joanne) Vinci of Brandon, FL; Faye’s siblings, Loriann (Adam) Bennett of Jacksonville, FL, Susan Brown of Iowa, and Ronnie Bryant of Jacksonville, FL; Faye’s step-sister, Judy Davis of Tallahassee; an a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
