Etta M. Vaughn

Ms. Etta M. Vaughn, 84, of Gilchrist County passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 6, 2013 at Haven Hospice after an extended illness. Ms. Vaughn was born April 15, 1928 in Gilchrist County , where she lived most of her life, to the late Wesley Bass and Paulie Townsend. She was a homemaker; she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thomas Vaughn and her daughter Glenda Downing. Ms. Vaughn is survived by her sisters; Edna Thompson of McAlpin, Catherine Minshew of Hawthorne, Dolly Griffis of Maxville, Sarah Millsap of Cleveland, TN, and Linda Fisher of High Springs. Three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services for Ms. Vaughn will be conducted on Saturday March 9, 2013 at 2p.m. in the chapel of Archer Funeral Home with Rev. Van Minshew and Rev. Freddie Griffis officiating. Internment will follow at Wayfare Cemetery in Bell , Florida . The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-8p.m. at the funeral home.
