Effie White

Effie Lovenia White, 85, of Lake Butler passed away August 1, 2016. Mrs. White was born in Chiefland to the late John and Alice Polk, and had spent most of her life in the High Springs and Alachua area before moving to Lake Butler in 1994. Mrs. White worked for several years at Copeland Sausage and later at Nettles Sausage. Mrs. White was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Lake Butler and was preceeded in death by her husband Walter White, Jr. and one grandson.

Mrs. White is survived by her daughters Sandra Wood (Jerry) of Martinez, GA and Patricia Andrews (Wayne) of Lake Butler, a son Danny White (Sena) of Locust Grove, GA, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. White will be held 3:00 PM Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Faith Baptist Church in Lake Butler. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery outside of High Springs. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 - 8 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Archer Funeral Home in Lake Butler (386) 496-2008.
