Doris Lee Sandberg

Doris Lee Sandberg, age 90, passed away peacefully at her home on January 29, 2022. She was born July 4, 1931, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Doris worked for over 55 years as a scrub nurse. She had a caring heart and thoroughly enjoyed serving her patients. She was married to the love of her life, Jess H. Sandberg, Jr. for 72 years until his passing. Doris was active in the Starke community and in her church, Sante Fe Mennonite Church. She is preceded in death by her husband.

Doris is survived by her son, Jess Hansen Sandberg, III; her daughters, Marcella Thomas (Lonnie) of Michigan and Janice Criss (Bill) of Waldo, FL; six grandchildren; 9 great-children; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A service for Doris will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at her church, Sante Fe Mennonite Church. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 10:00am.
