Donald Ray Cooper, Jr. was a man known for his love of the open road, his jovial personality, and his unwavering dedication to his family. Born in Starke, FL on October 21, 1962, he lived a life filled with passion for truck driving and connecting with people along the way. After serving his country in the US Army, Donald pursued a career as a truck driver where he found immense joy in exploring new places and meeting new faces. His outgoing nature and friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure among his colleagues and friends.
After a brief illness, Donald Ray Cooper, Jr. passed away on February 26, 2024, at UF Health Shands in Gainesville. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Cooper, Sr.
Donald is survived by his mother, Mary Cooper of Hampton; his sons Jamie Ray Cooper of Palatka and Brandon Cooper; as well as his brother David Cooper.
A visitation will be held at Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Starke on March 1, 2024, at 2:30pm followed by a Graveside Service at 3:00pm. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Archer-Milton Funeral Home. 386-496-2008 www.archerfuneralhome.com
