Deborah ( Debby) Wilkes Hanlon, age 74 of Keystone Heights, FL passed away April 07, 2022 in Starke FL while fiercely battling many medical challenges.
She is survived by her childhood friend and longtime husband of 52 years Reginald Hanlon III, her son Todd Hanlon (Kristie), her daughter Elizabeth Masters (Mike), and grandkids and loved ones; Hope Masters, Collin Masters, Sam Hanlon, Cohen Hanlon, McKenzie Santos, Rod Hanlon, Alicia Hanlon, Matthew Hanlon, Jennifer Hanlon, Lonnie (Bev) Carney, and Bill Alvarez.
She is preceded by Elmo Wilkes (father), Julia Wilkes (mother), Joseph Wilkes (brother), Herbert Wilkes (brother) , Ann Schwab (sister), Reginald Hanlon IV (son), Savannah Santos (grandaughter), and Frances Hanlon (mother in law) whom Debby thought of as her second mother.
Debby was born in Memphis,TN 2/15/48 and grew up in Miami FL in the house behind her future husband Reg. She went to Southern College in Chattanooga TN, and to Columbia Union College in Maryland later becoming a teacher, wife, mother, friend and an Eshet Chayil, which is a Woman of Valor, a Proverbs 31 woman.
Darlin as she was known by many was one of a kind – to be loved by her was to be truly blessed. We will cherish our many memories, and we thankfully are left with the remembrance of her smile and her love.
