David Eugene Parrish

David Eugene Parrish, age 61, passed away peacefully at his home in Starke on January 31, 2025. Born on November 18, 1963, in Lake Butler, David lived a life with warmth and generosity, embodying a quiet strength that touched the lives of all who knew him.

After attending Union County High School, began working at Southern Precast concrete plant. He worked diligently as he ran the grinder machine until an accident left him impaired. David had a passion for racing; he cherished moments spent racing his red Corvette and attending the GatorNationals, reveling in the thrill and camaraderie that these events brought. In his younger years, he found great joy in carpentry, where his creativity and craftsmanship shone brightly.

David was quiet, big-hearted, and ever generous and left an indelible mark on his family and friends. He was especially beloved by his friend, Guy Adams and his grandchildren, who affectionately referred to him as DD. David’s life was enriched by his relationships, and he treasured the bonds he formed with those around him.

He is survived by his sisters, Sandy Varnes and Toni Barrick, his aunt and uncle, Kenneth and Linda Parrish, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. David was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Jean Hart Parrish.

A visitation in honor of David will be held on February 11, 2025, from 10:00am to 11:00am, followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:00am at Archer-Milton Funeral Home in Lake Butler, Florida. He will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Elzey Chapel Cemetery.
