David Morley Griffis

Mr. David Morley Griffis, age 44, of Lake Butler, passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning August 27, 2013, at the Shands at University of Florida Hospital. Mr. Griffis was born in Ft. Stewart, GA on September 24, 1968, to Francy Sue Winningham and the late Morley Griffis. Mr. Griffis lived most of his life in Lake Butler, and was a Diesel Mechanic with Pritchett Trucking Company; he had just recently been promoted to Shop Forman. Mr. Griffis is preceded in death by his father: Morley Griffis. Mr. Griffis is survived by his loving wife of twelve years: Deanna Sparks Griffis of Lake Butler; Daughter: Ericka Griffis of Lake Butler; sons: Justin Griffis (Fiancé Anya) of Lake Butler, Dillon Griffis of Lake Butler and Dawson Griffis of Lake Butler; grandson: Jackson Griffis of Lake Butler; brothers: Duane Griffis (Deanna) of Lake City and Daryl Ennis of Lake Butler and his mother and step-father: Francy and Charles Ennis. Memorial services for Mr. Griffis will be conducted on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at 4 P.M. at the First Christian Church, with Rev. Dan Webster officiating.
