Baby Daphne Rose Fry was born Monday, April 1, 2024, 4lbs, 13.6oz, 16 inches at 12:46pm. Daphne passed away at 2 weeks old on Monday, April 15, 2024, in her parents' arms and surrounded by family at UF Health Shands Hospital after battling hydrops from cardiomyopathy.
They waited for her arrival as the months went by, to appear on earth for just a short time, a lifetime of loved all rolled into those 2 short weeks. She was so loved from the start and now forever in the hearts of her loved ones remembering her always and never to depart.
Daphne is the daughter of Mistee and Chase Fry; sister of Reese and Waylon Fry; granddaughter of James "Jim" Rooney and Maureen and Kevin Schlipf; and loved by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Daphne is preceded in death by her grandmother, Cynthia "Cyndi" Rooney and grandfather, David Fry.
A private family service will be held to honor her life.
