Mrs. Constance “Connie” King, age 77 years old of Lake Butler, Florida, passed away peacefully, October 2, 2020 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida surrounded by her children. She was born June 16, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama to Dorothy L. Sapp and the late Frank Settle. She has lived in Lake Butler for 26 years. She graduated from Santa Fe college in 1992. She retired from RMC in 2016. She loved crafting, cards and making bags for her senior church group… F.R.O.G. She enjoyed meeting at the Senior Social at Lake Butler Hospital on Tuesday’s. She enjoyed Sunday get together’s with
her children and grandchildren relaxing by the pool and grilling. She loved to read and bake homemade biscuits and banana bread. Connie loved taking care of others and showed her endless gift of love everyday with everyone she ran into. Her smile was a ray of sunshine that would brighten the rainiest of days.
She was a member of Bayless Highway Baptist Church for 24 + years.
Mrs. King is preceded in death by her infant son, Steven Brasher and her brother Henry Sapp of Williston, Florida.
Mrs. King is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Thomas King of Lake Butler, Florida; three daughters, Jane Moore (John) of Lake Butler, LeAnn Menefee (Tommy) of Ashville, Alabama and Angie Gibson (Ed) of Lake Butler, Florida; two sons; Kerry Brasher (Jane) of Odenville, Alabama and Sammy Brasher (Sonya) of Springville, Alabama; brother; Ruben Sapp (Pauline) of Hawthrone, Florida, Eva Heape (Walter) of Tennessee, and Billy Hardy (Pat) of Alabama; 17 Grandchildren, 28 Great-grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews as well as a vast amount of extended family and friends.
Funeral services to honor Mrs. Connie King will be held on Thursday, October 8th at 11:00am at Bayless Highway Baptist Church, 11798 NW CR 225, Starke, FL. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 10:00am at the church. Interment will be at Jonesville Cemetery 17745 SW 15th Ave, Jonesville, FL.
