Clifford Lamar Clemons

Clifford “Lamar” Clemons, Age 71, of Starke, FL, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022, at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born on July 11, 1950, in Starke to the late Walton and Marie (Knight) Clemons. He was a dedicated member of Evergreen Baptist Church where he enjoyed teaching Sunday School for many years. Lamar also made his mark in the mineral sands mining business where he had the opportunity to travel and see the world. He was a loving father and beloved “Papa”. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers Wayne Clemons and Dale Clemons.

Lamar is survived by his loving wife, Jane (Hewett) Clemons, their children Brian (Becky) Clemons, Jason (Marla) Clemons, Stephanie Clemons and Keri Wilkes, and nephew Robert Hewett; 12 grandchildren Justin, Kerissa, Kylee, Kaleb, Sydney, Seth, Abigail, Kinlyn, Annsley, Kaiden, Kolden, Alyse; 4 great grandchildren, Auzrael, Auviel, Molly and Kentli; his sister Joyce Thornton; his brother John Clemons; as well as many extended family members and friends.

A service to remember Lamar will be held on Wednesday, March 2^nd at 11:00 am at Evergreen Baptist Church in Lawtey, FL. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 10:00am.
