Clara Dianne Moody

Clara “Dianne” Moody, age 79, of Moodyville, passed away on October 22, 2023, at her home, surrounded by family. Mrs. Dianne was born on May 3, 1944, in Valdosta, GA, to Ressie and Clara Colson. Her family moved to Starke when her father was stationed at Camp Blanding. She graduated from Bradford County High School in 1962. After graduating, she married the love of her life, Wilbur Mark Moody, and they settled in Moodyville. Mrs. Dianne worked as a bank teller for many years in Starke. She loved being outside, especially gardening and fishing. The Moody’s spent many days on the Sante Fe river, fishing and camping. They were also faithful members at Pine Level Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Mark; her parents; her sister, Margaret Williams; and her son-in-law, Mike Tomlinson.

She is survived by her children, Connie (Bryan) Padgett, Lisa Tomlinson, and Paul Moody, Sr.; her grandchildren, Kayleigh (Nathan) Buchholtz, Lauren (Josh) Green, Alyssa (Trey) Shannahan, Josh Tomlinson, Paul Moody, Jr., Ashlyn (Connard) Rodgers; great-grandchildren, Weston and Paxton Buchholtz, Wyatt and Brantley Green, Mason Padgett, and Asher Rodgers; her sister, Kay (Wilbur) Waters; numerous extended family also survive.

A private family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 25. A visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, October 24, from 6-8:00 pm at Archer-Milton Funeral Home, Lake Butler.
