Callis Edmond Finley

Mr. Callis Edmond Finley, age 72, of Starke, formerly of Raiford, passed away peacefully at his residence on August 11, 2013, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Finley was born on February 19, 1941, in Raiford to the late Billy and Maude Bryant Finley. Mr. Finley lived most of his life in Raiford, having lived in Starke the past 6 years. Mr. Finley was a flower nursery worker and was a member of the Calvary Temple Church of God in Raiford. Mr. Finley was preceded in death by his siblings: Patsy Potter, Junior Finley, Allen Finley and Howard Finley; and one great-grandson: Caden Anderson and step daughter: Darlene Howell. Mr. Finley is survived by his loving wife: Norma Lee Finley of Starke; children: Eric Jones (Melissa) of Raiford, Candace Dent of Hampton, Tina Anderson (Eddie) of Starke and Kim Bryant (Donald) of Raiford; step-children: Janet Rhea (Glen) of McMinnville, TN, Patricia Griffis (Danny) of McMinnville, TN, Sharon Cox (Michael) of McMinnville, TN, James Gatlin of Starke, David Wallace (Cheryl) of Indiana and Abril Wallace (April) of McMinnville, TN. Twenty-six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Finley will be conducted at 11AM on Wednesday August 14, 2013, in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Thornton officiating. Internment will follow in Dedan Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
