Betty Ruth Green

Mrs. Betty Ruth Green, age 67, of Brooker, FL, passed away on July 28, 2022, at the UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville. Betty was born on March 29, 1955, in Gordon, GA. She spent most of her life in Georgia until moving to Graham, FL, in 2005. Shortly after moving to Graham, she met Clyde Green and the two married in 2007 and moved to Brooker, FL. She enjoyed reading her Bible, spending time with family, and working. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter and will be deeply missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Kirby and Jewel (Smiddy) Kirby; her siblings, Charles, Jr, Ronny, Timothy, and Sharlotte.

Betty is survived by her husband, Clyde Green of Brooker; her daughter, Megan Rainey of Brooker; sister, Becky (Jim) Thompson of Winder, GA; numerous extended family also survive.

A graveside service for Betty will be held on Monday, August 1, at 12:00 pm at the Dedan Cemetery in Brooker. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 11:30 am at the cemetery.
