Aubrey Woods

Aubrey Lee Woods, Jr., age 63, of Glen St. Mary peacefully departed this world on February 16, 2025, at UF Health Shands in Gainesville, Florida, after an extended illness. Born on December 19, 1961, in Macclenny, Florida, Aubrey was a devoted father, a cherished son, and a loyal brother.

He dedicated four years of his life to serving our country in the US Navy. Upon returning home, he forged a successful career as a welder. Aubrey approached life with a quiet demeanor, often reserved until he felt comfortably at ease. When he did open up, his dry sense of humor and insightful remarks never failed to bring a smile to those around him.

Aubrey's passions included fishing, watching football, especially cheering on the Florida Gators, and relishing the thrill of muddling with his jeep. These hobbies reflected his love for the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life.

He leaves behind a loving family who cherished him deeply. His daughter, Amanda (Russell) White, and sons, Aubrey Lee Woods, III, and Jacob Woods, along with his grandchildren, Russell White, Jr. and Chase White. Aubrey is also survived by his mother, Charlotte Barton, and his siblings: William (Katherine) Woods, Phillip Woods, Paul Woods, Becky Hyers, Tammy Finnerty, and Tracey Woods; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Aubrey is preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Lee Woods, Sr., and his sister, Savan Phillips.

Aubrey's memorial service will be held at Archer-Milton Funeral Home starting with a visitation on February 27, 2025, from 1:00pm - 2:00pm, followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm.
