Annie Laurie Ash

Annie Laurie Smith Ash, of Lake Butler passed away Sept 26, 2017 at Baptist Hospital, Jacksonville. She was surrounded by her family. Annie Laurie Ash was born Oct 2, 1925 in Lulu, Florida to Isaiah and Bertie Smith. She was pre deceased by her parents, her loving husband Of 57 Years, Fred Ash of Lake Butler, two brothers, Donald Smith and Kenneth Eldridge "Sox" Smith, her sister, Lota Mae Hall, Lake City, FL, two grandchildren, Amy Ash and Kevin Norris. She was survived by three daughters Linda Ann Norris,Orlando,FL, Sheila Noreen Lee (Mike Vargas) of Lulu and Karen Laurie Ash, Lake Butler, FL, two Sons Larry Fred Buddy Ash (Kay) of Lake Butler and Joel Murray Ash(Nancy) of Macclenny,7 grandchildren,14 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Miss Annie was a stay at home Mom until the 70's, when she had several jobs before settling with Division Hospital (later Lake City Medical) in Lake City. She was employed in the Dietary Department for 25 years. She loved her work and made many friends there.
