Mr. Amos Ardel Crawford, age 82, passed away peacefully at his home on September 2, 2021. Mr. Crawford was born and raised in Baker County but has called Union County his home since 1978. He worked for 25 years as a correctional officer for the Florida State Prison. However, his true passion was farming, and he loved every aspect of it. Mr. Crawford also loved to fish and hunt. He was a member of the First Congregational Methodist Church in Macclenny. Mr. Crawford is preceded in death by his parents, Amos Ardel and Nancy Bennett Crawford; his wife of 37 years, Evelyn Alice Crawford; grandchildren, Katherine Alice Miller, DeAiré Montez Miller, Alma Earle Miller, Eric Lewis Dalrymple, and Kristen Renee’ Holmes; and 6 siblings.

Mr. Crawford is survived by his children Bryan Turner (Mary), Billy “Darrell” Crawford (Alice), Cynthia “Diane” Crawford (Alvin), Sharon Marrero (Robert), Stacy Crawford (Laura), Denise McDonald (Mack), Kelly Holmes (Joe); 24 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; his brother, Bobby Crawford (Bernice Jean); his sister, Betty Burnsed and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mr. Crawford will be held at 9:00am on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Swift Creek/Mt. Zion Cemetery, Lake Butler, FL. Masks and social distancing will be required. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Archer-Milton Funeral Home, Lake Butler. 386-496-2008
