Alton "Butch" Lamar Vaughn Jr. 57, of Lake City passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 from injuries sustained in auto accident in High Springs. He was born on December 1, 1957 in Alachua, Florida. He graduated from Eastside High School in Gainesville. He lived most of his life in Lake City and was a veteran in the U.S. Army. Mr. Vaughn loved hunting, fishing, and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. He is preceded in death by his son Bruce Vaughn.
He is survived by his daughters: Angel Vaughn Bowen and Alyce Vaughn (Ryan McCarty) both of Lake City; Step Daughter: Amy Roberts (Kyle) of Lake City; Parents: Alton Vaughn Sr. of South Carolina and Alice Harrell of Alachua; Brother: Chad Vaughn of South Carolina; Sisters Marie Steedley of Wyoming, Shirley Shinholster of Alachua, Renee Gambrell of South Carolina and Tammy Fields of South Carolina; Grandchildren: Bryanna Romine, Caleb Roberts, McKenzie and Harley Bowen, and Kiaya Roberts.
Funeral Services for Mr. Vaughn will be held Friday at Archer Memorial Chapel at 1:30 PM. Family invites friends for a visitation half an hour before the service. The arrangements are under the care of Archer Funeral Home, Lake Butler. 386-496-2008
