Abby Gail Davis

August 15, 2001 — September 29, 2023

Lake Butler

Abby Gail Davis, born on August 15, 2001, in Gainesville, Florida, has sadly departed this earth on September 29, 2023, at Elevate Care in Waukegan, Illinois. Abby's vibrant personality and zest for life left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Abby was a young woman full of life and laughter. She was a 2019 graduate of Union County High School.  Abby always had a clever joke or witty remark ready to brighten up any conversation. Her friends and family loved her quick wit and appreciated the joy she effortlessly shared. Beneath her charming goofiness was a strong woman who was comfortable in who she was and made no apologies for it. Beyond her radiant personality, Abby had a passion for animals, music, and cooking. In the kitchen, she fearlessly experimented with flavors and techniques, creating vibrant dishes. Whether she was cuddling with furry friends or singing along enthusiastically to her favorite songs, Abby embraced the simple pleasures that brought happiness into her life.  Abby is preceded in death by her brother Colton Davis.

Abby is survived by her mother, Heather Poole; father, Tracy Davis both of Lake Butler; her sister Mikayla Speer (T.J. Hutchinson) of Jasper and brother Tyler Bagley of Starke. Abby also leaves behind her nephews, Hutch and Warren; grandparents, Steve and Gail Poole, as well as Buddy and Dot Coullitte; and her best friend, Taylor Gainey; and a host of extended family and friends.

Services to celebrate Abby's life will be held Friday, October 6, 2023, at St. Johns Church in Alachua, FL. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm with the funeral service at 3:00pm. She will be laid to rest immediately following the service at St. Johns Church Cemetery.

As we bid farewell to Abby Gail Davis, we are reminded that life is fleeting and that every moment should be cherished. How lucky we are to have had someone that makes saying goodbye so hard. We'll see you on the other side of the stars. Rest peacefully now, dear Abby.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Johns Church, 26000 NW CR 239, Alachua, FL 32615 or the Lake City Humane Society, www.lakecityhumane.org/donate.
